Paper appears to be a fairly innocuous material, right? Typically it tends to be fairly clean. One piece might not take up a lot of space, and many kinds of paper are colorful and bright. However, when paper clutter is left unchecked, it can take over your house very quickly, and spill out onto your credenzas and countertops, and pile up on your tables, and so on.
Try not to get caught up in the cycle of paper clutter! Learn how you can keep your paper under control to prevent your house from starting to resemble a recycling center.
Conduct a Paper Purge
If you have lots of accumulated paper clutter already, it makes sense for you to start the process by eliminating some of that mess. Pull a recycling bin out and start working. Throw out all of your old to-do lists, magazines, junk mail, grocery receipts, and greeting cards. Make sure to clean out your backpacks, purses, and wallet, while you are doing this.
Get a Shredder
Many people end up with a lot of paper clutter since they don't want to throw sensitive materials away, like old tax records, bank statements, and canceled checks. They keep saying that they will take the time to take it all to be shredded or cut all of it up, but it never ends up happening. In the meantime, the piles of paper continue to grow. A small shredder is affordable, which means you can shred the sheets up, and them place them inside of your recycling bin and then continue on with your busy life.
Immediately Deal with Your Mail
Place a recycling bin right next to your door where you first come in, and right when you get home go through the mail. If you pay your bills over the weekend, put incoming paper invoices into your letter holder or inbox. Recycle your old magazines when your new ones come in so that you don't end up with too many old issues piling up. When it comes to circulars and junk mail, throw them away without even looking at them.
Go Paperless
Many utility companies and banks allow you to do business without having any paper clutter come into play. Sign up for a company's paperless option whenever you can to reduce how much paper clutter is coming into your house. Also, some magazines will offer you a reduced subscription rate f you choose to receive your issues electronically, so that you can save money and have less clutter around your house. Many newspaper subscriptions offer this as well.
Get Rid Of Your Junk Mail
Unwanted circulars and junk mail are a real pain and there appears to be more than ever piling up. So what can be done about all of this paper clutter? Check the catalogs fro various merchants to find out if there is a number that can be called so that you can as to be taken off of their mailing lists. For charities that bombard you with their mailers the same thing is true. Also, you can find various ways to avoid getting pre-screened credit offers and insurance mailers as well as other marketing materials by going to the FTC website.
It is pretty easy to get rid of circulars. Tape a sign up on the inside part of your mailbox that states, "No circulars, please!"
Your life can be taken over by paper clutter if you don't keep up with it. With a bit of preparation and strategy, you will be able to keep your home looking like a home instead of a wastebasket.

Customer Testimonials
I was extremely pleased with Ashley’s team and they left my house extra-sparkling, making me look good for my in-laws’ visit. All traces of puppy fur and hard-to-remove gunk removed, and the house smelled clean, like lavender (not harsh chemicals). This is thorough, professional, fairly priced, and courteous service. All the stars!”
“We are very pleased with the service we received with Dashing Maids. Their communication and customer service is superb! Ashley is professional and has great attention to detail. She took the time to take notes on all the areas in our house that I wanted to have cleaned during our first walk through, which I really appreciated. In the past, I’ve done walk throughs with other cleaning companies, explained what I wanted cleaned, they nod “yes” and then didn’t follow through. When Dashing Maids came to clean on our scheduled date, they were very efficient. Everything looked great when they were finished and I’m looking forward to having Dashing Maids return on a regular basis.”
“I have never had a cleaning service, but considered it often. Dashing Maids put a flyer on my door which intrigued me enough to call them. I was impressed with their initiative and enthusiasm that I hired them after our initial meeting. Now every other week I get to come home to a wonderfully clean house with their charming additions that make me smile. I’m not sure they are trying to turn my “black thumb” into a greenish one, but I haven’t killed the lucky bamboo they left as a surprise yet. I’d fully endorse them as a cleaning, Dashing Maids service.”
“It’s so nice to come home to a sparkling clean house! I’ve worked with other cleaning companies in the past and Dashing Maids always provides a more thorough clean than I’ve found with other companies for a very reasonable price. Plus, they’re great with my dog and don’t mind that he’s at home when they come to clean. I highly recommend Dashing Maids!”
“There is no one that cleans our house as well as Katie does! She is meticulous and genuinely loves to clean, and it absolutely shows. We love it when it is our cleaning day. I could not be happier with the services provided by her and the Dashing Maids company. They are responsive, timely, and have overall been a pleasure to work with. I would recommend them to anyone looking for a reliable cleaning company.”
“I have been using Dashing Maids for several years now, and appreciate the communication and consistency with which our home is cleaned. The cleaner that always treats our home as if it were hers is Katie. Thanks Katie for your hard work!”
“Hannah G was great! She even left a nice note on my countertop that said, “Have a great weekend!” I love personal touches like that.”
“Thank you Talon! It was great to walk into my office today to have it sparkly clean and ready for a week of patients!”
"We have been dashing maids customers for a couple of years now and the service is always impeccable. Most recently our cleaning team has included Katie and Hannah, and I always get excited when I see them arrive. I know my house will be clean and I’ll get the pleasure of their company while they clean it. They do a great job and give me such peace of mind!”
